Know the real RV payment before you apply

Plan the whole purchase, not just the sticker price. Then ask WeRV to help you tie together the numbers, the RV and your next step. That works even if you buy from someone else.

We do not ask for your Social Security number and we do not pull your credit. We do not promise approval either. You get a clearer plan.

Made for real RV purchases

From a dealer, a private seller or anywhere else.

  • Taxes, fees and add on products
  • Trade value and payoff
  • Terms and total interest side by side
  • What extra payments save
  • An optional debt to income view

You can change every number. The math updates as you type. It stays on this device unless you choose to send a help request.

1 Purchase

Optional products included in the purchase

2 Tax estimate

Rules vary by state. In general, California does not take the trade allowance off the taxable selling price.

3 Loan scenario

Use the interest or note rate you were quoted, if you have one

APR can be higher than the interest rate, because APR can include some finance charges. This payment estimate uses the rate you enter here.

Add an optional debt to income view

DTI is your monthly debt divided by your gross monthly income. It is a number for planning. It is not a lender cutoff and it does not predict approval.

This estimate pays the loan down in equal monthly payments at a fixed rate. Your real contract payment can be different. Daily interest, the date of the first payment, lender fees, financed products, taxes, rounding and program rules can all change it.

Finance help from a person

Have an RV, or just a plan?

Send us the basics and nothing sensitive. WeRV can help you organize the purchase and connect you with an independent lender when one is available. The RV does not have to come from WeRV.

  • We do not collect your SSN or full birth date here
  • This is not a credit application
  • This form does not pull your credit report

The plan you built in the lab above goes with your request, so we see the same numbers you do.

Why RV loans are different

The RV has to qualify, and so do you

A lender looks at more than your credit score. The size and shape of the deal, and the RV used as collateral, can change which programs you can get.

01

Special collateral

The RV's year, type, age, mileage, condition, value and how you plan to use it can decide whether it qualifies. A strong borrower does not make every RV financeable.

02

Longer terms cost more over time

A longer term can lower the payment. It also raises the total interest and can slow how fast you build equity.

03

Private sale paperwork

The title status, any liens, the seller's payoff, the registration and the new lender's lien all have to be sorted out. Only then can the money and the ownership change hands safely.

04

The full amount matters

Taxes, official fees, optional products, your down payment and your trade equity all change how much you finance. A calculator that only uses the sticker price misses that.

What lenders often look at

Lenders review you and the RV

No single credit score guarantees approval. Each lender can weigh you and the exact RV in its own way. The CFPB lists credit history, income, debts, loan amount, term, down payment and vehicle type as common factors in how a loan is priced.

Your side

  • Credit reports, scores and payment history
  • Steady income you can prove
  • Monthly debts, including your housing payment
  • Down payment and cash in reserve
  • The amount and term you ask for
  • Your state and where you plan to register

The RV side

  • VIN, year, make, model and RV type
  • The price, and a market value that backs it up
  • New or used, from a dealer or a private seller
  • Age, mileage, condition and how you plan to use it
  • A clear title, or an exact plan to pay off the lien
  • Insurance and the lender's lien rules

Get ready once

A complete file moves faster

Each lender asks for different things. Having the basics ready cuts the back and forth after you decide to apply.

  1. About you. Government ID, past addresses, and the job and income papers the lender asks for.
  2. The purchase. The purchase agreement, price, cash down, trade in details and the taxes or official fees you expect.
  3. The RV. VIN, year, make, model, mileage, photos, condition and insurance details.
  4. From a private seller. The seller's ID and contact details, a copy of the title, the registration, and the current lender's payoff details if there is a lien.

Buying somewhere else?

Tell WeRV the whole situation, not just the RV

Tell us where you found it and whether the seller is a dealer or a private owner. Tell us what you know about the title or any lien, and when you want to buy. We help sort out the next questions. When an independent lender fits and is available, we connect you.

Ask us to review the purchase

WeRV is not a lender. Only the lender you pick can approve you and set the final terms.

Payment is only one number

Compare what the whole loan costs

The CFPB suggests you compare the APR, the term and the amount financed, not just the monthly payment.

Lower payment

Can mean paying for longer

A longer term can make each month easier. It can also raise the total interest by a lot.

More down

Cuts what you owe right away

A bigger down payment lowers the amount financed and may improve your loan to value. Keep money aside for emergencies too.

Extra principal

Can pay it off sooner

Say your loan charges simple interest and has no prepayment penalty. Then paying principal faster usually cuts future interest. Ask your lender how it applies extra payments.

Straight answers

RV finance questions worth asking early

Is WeRV the lender?

No. WeRV explains the process, guides you through the deal and connects you with independent lenders. The lender decides whether to approve you. The lender, not WeRV, also sets the final rate, term, down payment, collateral rules and fees.

Can WeRV help if I buy an RV somewhere else?

Yes. Ask us about an RV from a dealer, a private seller or anywhere else. What financing and help we can offer depends on you, the RV, the seller, your state and the lender.

Does this planner affect my credit?

No. The planner runs in your browser. The help form is not a credit application. It does not ask for a Social Security number and it does not let anyone pull your credit report. A lender may do a hard credit check later, if you choose to send them a formal application.

What credit score do I need for an RV loan?

There is no one cutoff. Lenders may use different scoring models. They also look at your credit history, income, debts, down payment, loan amount and term. Then they look at the RV's type, age and value, and the state where it will be registered.

Why can an RV loan run longer than a car loan?

RVs can cost more, and lenders have special rules for them as collateral. Some RV loan programs offer terms from about five to twenty years. Longer terms are not open to every amount, borrower or RV. They can also add a lot of total interest.

Can I finance the taxes, title and registration?

Some lenders let you add eligible taxes and official fees to the loan. You have to be approved, and the program has to allow it. The planner lets you add estimated tax and fees, so your payment is not based on the sticker price alone.

Can I finance an older RV, or one from a private seller?

Sometimes. Secured loan programs may limit the RV's age, type, mileage, condition or value, or set a smallest loan amount. A private sale may also need the title, the lien payoff and the registration worked out. An unsecured loan may work in some cases, but its pricing and terms can be different.

Use these answers to get ready. Your lender's written disclosures and final contract are what count for the actual purchase.

These are estimates to help you learn. This page is not a credit application or a loan offer. It is not an approval, a rate lock, financial advice or a commitment to lend. WeRV is not a lender. Independent lenders make every credit decision and set the final terms. The results use equal monthly payments at a fixed rate.
